美国Google于美国时间12月20日发布了该公司的检索引擎“Google”的2001年关键词排名。此次排名分为14个不同的领域，各个领域的排名均公开在“Year-End Google Zeitgeist”网页上。
其中关键词检索频率涨幅最快的前三名为“nostradamus”、“cnn”、“world trade center”。被检索最多的女性名字前三名为“britney spears”、“pamela anderson”、“jennifer loper”，而检索最多的男性名字前三名为“nostradamus”、“osama bin laden”、“eminem”。
另外，检索最多的产品前三名依次为“windows xp”、“xbox”和“playstation 2”，而检索最多的品牌则是“nokia”、“sony”、“bmw”
